Guest Speaker Committee

Position: Guest Speaker Committee

Time Commitment: ~2 hrs / week

Description

• Assist in scheduling guest speakers for ACSJ Wednesday Night Events
• Identify potential guest speakers to present on topics relevant to atheism, skepticism, secularism, and science
• Initiate contact with potential guest speakers via phone and/or email
• Serve as the ACSJ point-of-contact with guest speakers in order to answer questions and to arrange/organize speakers schedule and other logistics
• For out-of-town guest speakers, assist in arranging airline travel, lodging, and other necessary travel arrangements
• Coordinate with the ACSJ Board of Directors for approvals
• At all times, represent the ACSJ professionally with courteous and respectful interactions
• Promote a positive public perception of atheists and secularists

Qualifications

• ACSJ Meetup member in good standing
• Online and telephone access
• Good organizational skills
• Good communications skills
