Event Roadie

Position: Event Roadie

Time Commitment: ~2-3 hrs every other week

Description

• Attend the Wednesday Night Meetup Events
• Assist in setting up and/or tearing down event audio/video equipment
• Audio Setup:
  • Arrive two (2) hrs prior to event start
  • Retrieve audio equipment from its storage facility
  • Setup audio speaker stands and speakers
  • Connect power cables to audio speakers
  • Connect audio cables to speakers and audio mixer board
  • Setup wireless and handheld microphones
  • Verify proper operation of all audio equipment
• Video Setup:
  • Arrive two (2) hrs prior to event start
  • Retrieve video equipment from its storage facility
  • Setup video projector, projector screen, and laptop
  • Connect power to projector and laptop
  • Connect video cables to projector and laptop
  • Adjust appropriately projector output for proper viewing on projector screen
  • Verify proper operation of all video equipment
• Audio/Video Teardown:
  • Be available immediately following the end of the event
  • Properly disconnect and stow all audio, video, and power cables
  • Properly teardown and stow all audio and video equipment
  • Return all equipment to its storage facility
• Coordinate with the ACSJ Host
• Promote a positive public perception of atheists and secularists.

Qualifications

• ACSJ Meetup member in good standing
• Availability to attend the Wednesday Night Meetup Events
• Good organizational skills
• Knowledge of audio/video equipment a plus, but not required
