Part science fair, part county fair, and part sculpture show, Maker Faire is an all-ages gathering of tech enthusiasts, artists, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, authors, students, and commercial exhibitors. All of these “makers” come to Maker Faire to show what they have made and to share what they have learned.

If you’re into art, science, technology, and creativity, this is where you need to be! 3-D printing? Got it. Steampunk? Got it. Fire-breathing dragon trains? Got it. Thermite explosions? Got it. Bring your camera, comfortable shoes, and sun protection, and plan on spending several hours viewing (and being involved in) delightful works. Ticket details: one-day adult pass is $32.50 + $2.78. See their website for more details, such as kid prices, hours, transit, parking, etc.: http://makerfaire.com/makerfairehistory/
The plan is for ACSJ members to go individually so you can create your own schedule. However, if you have 5 people and buy a Sunday Family Pass ONLINE and all show up there together, you can get in for $20 + $2.09 each. Either way, carpooling is recommended and free shuttles to free off-site parking are available…or at least they were last year. 🙂
