For the second year in a row, we will be hosting our own non-profit information booth at the annual Day in the Park event at Lake Cunningham Park!

We are looking for ACSJ member volunteers to run our resource booth. You will be educating San Jose locals about ACSJ and who atheists are.
One of your teaching tools will be the “Wheel O’ Gods,” where people can spin the wheel and tell us why they don’t believe in the chosen god. This shows how we all have gods we don’t believe in, so we aren’t all that different from eachother. As Stephen Roberts’s said, “I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.”

We need someone to help Brian set up the booth, where you will need to arrive before 8am. We will need you to stay until cleanup at 3pm.

Other volunteers can list in the comments what hours they’d be willing to work to assist in this. If you have an ACSJ shirt/hat, please wear it, as simply being seen at the event in your shirts will attract attention.

There is free parking for the general public, as well as free admittance to the event for everyone! Enter Lake Cunningham Regional Park through their South White Road entrance and park in the participant parking area.

The event will include free activities, entertainment and food! So even if you can’t stay to volunteer, we hope that you will be able to enjoy the festivities and stop by our booth (#76).
